Hello All,

HRLAX has a young man working very hard towards his Eagle Scout Badge.  Shelby Hastings  has decided to to tie his Eagle project into his love for lacrosse by involving a multi-national aide organization whose goal is to bring lacrosse and other aide to countries around the world. Below is some information if you would like to help Shelby with his project by donating used equiptment to the cause.
“For my project I am collecting donations of money and new or gently used lacrosse equipment for the Fields of Growth International organization. If you aren’t familiar with the organization, Fields of Growth is a non-profit organization that goes over to Uganda, East Africa and uses lacrosse as a foundation for building communities and partnerships. They provide a whole range of services, from building schools to supporting AIDS treatment and even teaching the people over there the great sport of lacrosse. What also excites me about this organization is not only the opportunity for American youth to share their love of lacrosse with others but to see their role in the world and to find a way to be active in that role. Please visit their website for more information:”   ”

I would certainly appreciate any help you can give me in completing my project with great success. My goal is to have all collections completed by Saturday, October 8th. Monetary donations may be made by sending a check, payable to BSA Troop 11, to this address: BSA Troop 11, c/o Scoutmaster Dave Young, 108 Carys Trace, Yorktown, Virginia 23693. The check should be noted with “Shelby Hastings’ Eagle Project.” Please contact me at(
